After an early breakfast, gear up for a morning of adventure in Kibale Forest. Begin with a short briefing before setting off into the jungle to track chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Listen for their calls and follow signs through the forest, encountering other primates like red colobus, mangabeys, and blue monkeys along the way. After this thrilling wildlife encounter, head to your lodge for lunch and continue your journey toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The landscape transitions from dense forest to savannah as you arrive and check into your lodge for the evening.

Rise with the sun for a game drive across the open plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Watch for herds of elephants and buffalo, spot lounging lions or perhaps even a shy leopard. After lunch and some rest, board a boat for a relaxed sunset cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Glide past pods of hippos, crocodiles sunbathing on the banks, and an astonishing array of birdlife. The warm glow of the setting sun over the water adds the perfect touch to the day.

Following breakfast, begin the journey toward the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of Africa’s most biologically diverse rainforests. Along the way, pass through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. Stop for lunch in Kihihi town before reaching your lodge in the Buhoma region of Bwindi. Settle in and soak up the serenity of the forest — tomorrow brings a truly unforgettable encounter.

Today, you trek deep into the jungle in search of Bwindi’s most iconic residents — the endangered mountain gorillas. After a pre-trek briefing, set off with your guide through dense forest terrain. The trek may take between 2 to 8 hours, but the reward is immeasurable: a once-in-a-lifetime moment spent observing a gorilla family in the wild. Following your trek, enjoy lunch and continue to a local coffee farm to learn how beans are grown and roasted, followed by a visit to the Batwa community for a cultural encounter steeped in ancestral tradition. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe. Break for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara and stop in Kayabwe to stand at the equator line — a popular spot for photos and the iconic equator experiment. Arrive in Entebbe by evening and check in to your guesthouse.
