After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Kaziranga National park, an estimated 200 kms / 5 – 5.5 hour drive. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel.

It is located in the edge of the Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspots – Golaghat and Nagaon district. In the year 1985, the park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The park is an abode of more than 600 species of wild orchids collected from all
across the north-east India region and hence, it is considered as the largest orchid park in
the Northeast belt of India.

Evening free to explore the property.

Early morning we will explore the park on Elephant back – Elephant ride is the best way to behold the vigour and charm of the enchanting wildlife of the park.

Afternoon we will go for a Jeep Safari in the Western Range of the park – The western zone is the most preferred tourism zone in Kaziranga for the jeep safari as the landscape of this zone provides the opportunity to get the very close sight of the one-horned Rhino.

Evening, the guest can also visit the nearby local village or be at leisure.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Shillong – an estimated 190 kms/ 5-5.5 hours drive, enroute take a stop at the majestic Umiam Lake (optional). Also known as “Bara Pani”, is one of the largest artificial lakes in Meghalaya, created when Umiam river was dammed to store water for hydroelectric power generation. It is often compared with the beautiful lakes of Scotland.

The guests are then driven to the town of Shillong located approximately 20 kms away from Umiam. Upon arrival, the guests are escorted to check-in to their hotel.

Founded in the second half of the nineteenth century by the British, the Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and capital of the state of Meghalaya. An abode of clouds, the rolling hills around the town.

Today after breakfast, day trip to Mawlynnong & Dawki. (An estimated 90 kms / 3 hour drive one way).

First will visit the Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 – one can also take stroll around the village.

The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the “Living Root Bridge” at a neighboring village Riwai – To visit the Root Bridge one has to walk about 500mts from the parking point. First set of steps are easy steps before reaching the root bridge the steps are stiff and uneven (cut out of rocks). If the bridge is kept of restoration, authorities may not allow visitors to walk on the bridge.

Later visit Dawki, the Bangladesh Border (Tamabil Border from Bangladesh side). Main attraction is the Umgot river with crystal clear water. You can enjoy along Boat Ride (Optional & subject to river conditions) – This boating is on wooden boat with Oar men and seating arrangements is on wooden planks (maximum 04 pax allowed per boat, Life Jackets are available)

After breakfast, a day trip to Cheerrapunjee an estimated 60 kms / 2.5 hour drive one way)

Visit the Seven Sisters Waterfalls it has seven different waterfalls that are strategically arranged side by side on a high, rugged cliff, and looks very significant even from a distance.

The Nahkhalikai Falls – Plunging from a height of 1115 feet amidst evergreen rainforests is one of the finest examples of nature’s splendour. The waterfall, which is famed for being the world’s fourth-tallest plunge waterfall.

Mwasmai Cave – is only a distance of 150 meters is open for tourists, while the other section is closed. The stalactites and stalagmites caves have innumerable forms, shapes and sizes inside leaving one to imagine as many life forms as possible. This magnificent natural wonder is the handiwork of years of natural abrasion and underground water. Kho Ramhah Rock or Motrop to see a single gigantic cone shaped rock formation and Arwah cave.

After the visit drive back to Shillong.

After breakfast check-out from the hotel & drive to Guwahati airport an estimated 3-3.5 hour drive to board flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra airport, we will continue our drive to Darjeeling.

Sprawled over a steep mountain ridge and dotted with unending stretches of emerald green tea plantations, the quaint hill station of Darjeeling, in West Bengal, is a popular travel destination.

After an early breakfast, the guests will proceed for a full day city tour of Darjeeling.
Enjoy the toy train ride upto Ghoom and visit the Ghoom Monastery.
Toy Train: Steam Engine, timings 09:25 / 11:10 hrs

Onboard the train, one witnesses the spectacular landscape as the 2-foot gauge Darjeeling Himalayan railway, opened in 1881, labours at about 10 mph criss-crossing the road. It has tiny 4-wheel locomotives (some over 100 years old) like living legends. One can experience the sound, smell and romance of a bygone era. as this is a work of genius and technological achievement of 1881, which has social and cultural importance.

The guests next stop will be Ghoom Monastery, it is an oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height.
After breakfast, proceed for the remaining part of city tour – Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Tibetan Self- Helf Centre.

The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was started in Darjeeling when Tenzing Norgay climbed Everest to give training to learn Mountaineering and other adventure sports related to mountaineering and in that Institute one can see equipment etc.used by Mr. Tenzing Norgay and Everest Museum having complete details on Everest.

Tibetan Self- Helf Centre Or Refugee Centre: This institute is run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and one can see making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc. Evening walk to Observatory Hill and Bhutia Busti Monastery.

Early morning visit Tiger Hill for sunrise, it is approximately 13 kms from Darjeeling and one can see beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchanzonga , Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight.

After the visit, return back to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, we will visit the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda – a symbol of peace and religion. The temple’s other name is Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple. In 1972, the two-storied white building was built in a traditional Japanese style. The Peace Pagoda that showcases four avatars of Lord Buddha is close to the temple. From the top of the Pagoda, you get a panoramic view of the Darjeeling landscape including the Kanchenjunga range.

Evening, we can walk to Observatory Hill and Bhutia Busti Monastery.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel & drive to Bagdogra airport to board flight to onward journey.
